Not able to shift focus position on family trees while editing

This was first mentioned as a comment on another thread. However it looks like it is a separate issue so I have opened this thread.

It appears that it is not possible to shift the focus (starting position in the view/edit window) for the display of a family tree.

I am using Firefox on a PC. I open a family tree to edit (one of the 2 set up on the site so far). I re-position the window so it is looking at the node that I would like to display first when people view the tree. I then save the tree. However the tree does not display using the focus position I saved.
