It seems it does not work with cyrillic user names.

If I turn on it it brokes profile urls for most of the users:

url: transgender.ru
admin login: yaelkroy
password: OzHu7Vp

test user: try to open profile url if you turn on the profile url module
http://transgender.ru/955-yael

actually urls must be translitirated like in the forum:
e.g. name of forum name"Правила форума и новости сайта", forum url:
http://transgender.r[...]-novosti-saita/

Please, fix, or it is unusable for Cyrillic sites
