I have set up a single item family tree example on your demo page. It is called JW Test and was set up on 23 May 2016.

I have just purchased a new Acer android tablet running 5.1 and the problem occurs on this tablet. Please see the attached screen shot.

It is a single item tree and I can view it fine on my PC. However on my android tablet you cannot see the tree. show less

This was first mentioned as a comment on another thread. However it looks like it is a separate issue so I have opened this thread.

It appears that it is not possible to shift the focus (starting position in the view/edit window) for the display of a family tree.

I am using Firefox on a PC. I open a family tree to edit (one of the 2 set up on the site so far). I re-position the window so it is looking at the node that I would like to display first when people view the tree. I then save the tree. However the tree does not display using the focus position I saved. show less

You have provided options to add partners, add brothers and sisters, add children but there is no add parent option when I am editing a family tree.

Without the add parent option it is not possible to extend a family tree upwards when I want to add extra nodes.

The alternative would be to provide the option to create a new, unattached node on the family tree. Then provide the option to attach the node to another node on the tree (as a parent, partner, brother/sister or child). My guess is that this option would perhaps be more complicated than having an add parent option. show less

Hi,

Just created some text fields to store inexact birth and death dates.

While doing this I have found that the option to delete a custom field does not seem to work. I clicked on the trash can against a custom field and it did not work. This occurred on a PC using both Firefox and IE.

I also tested out creating fields in a new category and trying to delete them from the new category. This also did not work. However I was able to delete the new category (including the new fields in that category). show less

The problem that we had the other day with the gedcom file not loading appears to have returned. Again the process is not terminating ok. The load occurs in the background window but, as before, the loading process does not complete.

I have contacted my hosting company and they said that another ModSecurity trip occured. However they have now resolved that and say that their error logs are clear.

Please can you investigate the inability to load gedcom files.

As you already know there are various dates on various records in the family trees I have created where the birth date is incorrect. Due to an incompatibility with the gedcom file I used for loading the tree.

I think on some occasions the load has populated some date fields with the current date.

I was hoping to be able to correct these problems by hand.

It appears that there is no way to remove a date from a date field. The software only seems to allow a user to change a date. Not remove it.

Is this correct? If yes, I feel that an enhancement to the software may be required. show less

When I look at family trees on my mobile phone the family tree loads OK in the window. However as soon as I touch the screen in the tree display window it is wiped clean.

If I choose the edit option the family tree stays on display in the window and I can edit it.

So the problem is only in the display window, not the edit window.
